Jay Leno issued an unofficial apology today via People to the gay community. 

        "In talking about Ryan's first role, I realize that what I said came out wrong," the host of NBC's Tonight Show said in a statement to PEOPLE. "I certainly didn't mean any malice. I agree it was a dumb thing to say, and I apologize."

        Following a taping of The Tonight Show, Leno asked Ryan Phillippe to "...give me your gayest look" and "imagine that camera right there is your gay lover."  Phillippe refused almost immediately.

        Why are gays so sensitive?  Then again, if they weren't would they really be gay?  Hmmmm...quandry
